A quiet perfumer's studio with amber bottles and blotters in natural light

About Maison Sève

A small house for real fragrance

We started at a perfumer's organ with a rack of absolutes and a stubborn belief that a scent should be built from real materials, aged properly, and worn as a signature rather than a season.

Our story

Maison Sève began in a small Bukchon studio in 2021, with one perfumer's organ, a drawer of Grasse absolutes bought slowly, and a frustration that most fragrance had come to smell the same — loud, synthetic, and gone by lunch. We set out to compose the way perfumers once did: with real materials, in small batches, and with the patience to let a blend become itself.

Everything we make is composed the same way today. We build on natural essences — rose and jasmine absolutes, Haitian vetiver, sandalwood, cold-pressed citrus — supported by a few carefully chosen synthetics where nature can't reach. Each formula is blended by hand and left to macerate for weeks so the notes marry. If a fragrance wouldn't still smell beautiful eight hours in, it doesn't get bottled.

We believe in wearing one scent well rather than chasing many. A signature you reach for every morning is worth more than a shelf of half-used bottles. That is the quiet idea behind the house, and it's the invitation we extend to you: take a week with the discovery set, and let the right one find you.

What we stand for

Three things we won't compromise on

Composed by hand

Every fragrance is blended and bottled by hand in small batches. Slight variations between batches aren't flaws — they're the sign of natural materials and a real perfumer, not a factory line.

Kind to the planet

Responsibly sourced naturals, refillable bottles, and plastic-free packaging. We'd rather sell one bottle you treasure and refill than push a new flanker every season.

Made to be worn

Fragrance is meant for skin, not a shelf. High concentrations, honest longevity, and scents built to become part of how people remember you — not just to look good in a bottle.
